Beaver County Opioid Solutions Summit 2019

The growing influence of opioid use in rural America has been detrimental. As it continues to progress, rural communities are faced with dwindling resources and limited treatment options. The focus of this summit is the understanding of addiction and the creation of solutions for recovery in our communities. The Beaver Solutions Summit includes an overview of opioid use and the ways communities are being impacted. The summit also includes many meaningful stories of hope from individuals in recovery! Further, we hope that the summit is an opportunity for us all to come together in support of the many roads to recovery and collaborate to continue eradicating this epidemic in our communities. The summit is brought to you by the Utah Rural Opioid Healthcare Consortium (UROHC), which supports patients and healthcare providers in the three most at-risk counties in the State of Utah. UROHC brings together hospitals, federally qualified health centers, university experts, local health departments, as well as public and behavioral health entities in Carbon, Emery, and Beaver counties via monthly meetings were local experts create plans to combat Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) in Utah.
